UCLA & CIRM SRL Courses
The UCLA - CIRM Shared Resource Laboratory (SRL) offers specialized training opportunities to support researchers working with human pluripotent stem cells and laboratory automation technologies. The courses are offered periodically throughout the year and may vary based on research needs and program availability.
Training opportunities include foundational instruction in stem cell reprogramming, maintenance, differentiation, characterization, and genome editing, as well as hands-on automation training using robotic liquid handling, plate handling, and imaging systems. Advanced courses also provide experience with semi-automated platforms for human pluripotent stem cell expansion and differentiation.
Upon completion available on demand "Advanced Automation Training for Stem Cell Modeling Course", participants may access ARPh automated research platform on a recharge basis and apply automation technologies to accelerate their own research projects.
To accommodate researchers with varying degrees of experience, our courses are structured into three tiers:
- Stage 1: Basics – Introduction to fundamental Stem Cell and Gene Editing techniques and concepts.
- Stage 2: Workshop – Expanding core skills and optimizing protocols.
- Stage 3: Advanced – On demand courses for complex workflows and independent operation.
